Scandinavian Christmas Craft Book

The last two weeks has been such a busy time for me.  I decided to try to get back into the craft business. It has been about 10 years since I quit my pattern business to welcome a new addition to our family. Now that he is almost 11 it feels like a good time to do something again. I have been working like crazy! To say that I am burning the midnight oil would be putting it mildly. I am really excited to be honoring my heritage with this undertaking. My book will be a mixture of Scandinavian crafts both old and new, mixed with traditions and family recipes. I'm so lucky my hubby is on board, and believes in me, enough to take a chance on my ability to make this happen.  And that we have an extra room in our house that has become my design central/craft space and office. I spend more time in there than any room in the house. I realized I have been to the craft store more times in the last 2 weeks than I have all year! It's funny how things happen. The last month or so I have been really motivated to get all of my Christmas crafts finished. I have my yearly Halloween soiree planned and the things I needed to make for it all ready. Just 2 days before I got the idea to do a book I finished the last of the crafts I needed to give away for the holidays. I wondered what I was going to do with my time and why I pushed so hard to get my stuff finished early. I guess I now know! I'm keeping fingers crossed that I will be able to pull this off. I'm hoping some trips to Scandinavia might be in order as I would love to visit my family and see dad's country again. If it doesn't work out at least I can say I tried. Really, really hard!!
