Halloween quilt- Halloween pillows

It's that time of the year again! I am in full holiday craft mode.Yay!!!I have been busy making Halloween and Christmas crafts and loving every minute of it. This week I have been working on some sewing projects. I wanted to make a pinwheel table runner but it turned into a wall hanging instead. Sadly I did not buy enough fabric to make the runner and didn't want to go back to the craft store. It was super easy to make. I don't have a walking foot for my Bernina and at first I didn't think my regular presser foot would work but it was just fine. I used Warm and Natural for batting and had no problems with it. I also made a couple of pillow shams for some of my couch throw pillows. It is so nice to be able to switch out shams for the seasons and not have to store numerous pillows. I found a tutorial for ruffle flowers and made a few to go on my larger pillow. I Love, love, love Halloween! I think it is because it is such a fun holiday for kids. And it reminds me of when my kids were really little. As I was sewing yesterday I watched "The Haunted Mansion" and "The Tower of Terror and missed having little ones to watch fun holiday movies with. The kids went back to school Monday and I find that I am passing my time in my craft room. I love hanging out in there. It is my favorite room in the house!!
